This data collection is conducted solely for educational purposes as part of a university research project.

My research focuses on facilitating accessibility for people who are passionate about fandoms but may face different challenges when trying to participate in events, communities, and related activities. The goal is to better understand these difficulties and explore ways to make participation and access to information easier and more inclusive for fans from different backgrounds.

These challenges can include fragmented information across different platforms, notification issues, difficulty finding or reaching important information at the right time, and language barriers. Through this research, I hope to understand how these factors affect the fan experience and how better approaches to information and accessibility could help make participation smoother.

I am starting this research within the Miku fandom because of my own passion for Hatsune Miku and my personal connection to the community. Starting from a fandom that I genuinely care about allows me to explore these challenges through a community I know and experience myself, while using what I learn as a starting point for the wider research.
